Women Empowerment and Harassment Cell – Government Rehti College
The Women Empowerment and Harassment Cell at Government Rehti College is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for female students, faculty, and staff. The primary goal of the cell is to promote gender equality, protect women’s rights, and prevent harassment of any form within the college premises.
The cell organizes awareness programs, workshops, and seminars on topics such as women’s rights, legal provisions, and self-defense, aiming to empower women with knowledge and confidence. It fosters an environment where female students are encouraged to pursue their education, career, and personal aspirations without fear of discrimination or violence.
In addition to empowerment, the cell functions as a vigilant body that addresses complaints of harassment, including sexual harassment, bullying, or any form of gender-based violence. The cell ensures a confidential and prompt grievance redressal process, offering counseling and legal support where necessary.
The Women Empowerment and Harassment Cell also plays a proactive role in sensitizing the entire college community about gender issues and promoting respect, inclusivity, and equality for all. By addressing concerns and providing support, the cell helps foster a nurturing environment where women can thrive academically, socially, and personally.
